The REcollective

The Recollective is a carefully curated second hand fashion boutique located in Ottawa, Canada. Previously founded as PreLoved Ottawa, the business rebranded under the name The Recollective after 5 successful years as one of the leading consignment stores in the region. Known for its Instagram shopping, The Recollective set itself apart from other secondhand stores in the city by selling gently worn clothing, handbags and accessories through ‘daily drops’ in their Instagram stories.

When I met with Carla and Kelly over zoom amidst the lockdown, they told me they both wanted a lake vibe — but not a rustic vibe! (they were quick to add). So I moved forward with a luxury cottage experience in my mind - wanting the imagery and design to feel approachable yet high end. Alexa Mazzarello is an Ottawa based portrait photographer who shot the brand photography. Her work really brought the whole project together.
