From the screen to the storefront
BRAND IDENTITY · WEB DESIGN · PRINT · RETAIL
We work with brand founders (and marketing teams) to create brands that look good, work hard and feel like something.
From story-driven brand identities and custom Squarespace and Shopify websites to print, signage and retail design, we think about how every piece works together, and always leave room for a hint of the unexpected.
Run by Ashley Izsak in Ottawa, Ontario, we deal in emotion & sink into brands like we do a warm bath.
Brand Identity
We sink in before we start designing. Where you’re going, who you’re trying to reach, what already feels right and what very much does not.
From there, we build a visual identity that feels distinctly yours, and gives you enough to actually do something with it.

Website Design
Beautiful, yes. But also easy to use, easy to navigate and built around what you actually need your website to do.
We design custom Squarespace and Shopify websites that bring your brand to life online, make the path from this looks good to I want this feel easy, and always leave room for a little delight along the way.

Print + Signage
Because sometimes the best parts of a brand are the ones you can actually hold, open, walk past or hang above a door.
From packaging and print collateral to signage and wayfinding, we take the brand off the screen without losing any of what made it good in the first place.

Retail + Brand Experience
For brands with a physical space, the experience doesn’t stop when someone closes their laptop (or let’s be honest - their phone).
We think about the storefront, signage, packaging, print and all the tiny details in between, creating spaces and touchpoints that feel like a natural extension of the brand we built on screen.

Big-picture thinking, always.
We figure out where you’re going together - before deciding what it should look like.
Sometimes that means a brand and website. Sometimes it turns into packaging, print, signage or a physical space. When we work together, we dive into your universe and think about what will delight and connect with your audience - the details they’ll notice, the ones they’ll remember and the ones they didn’t know they wanted.
A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
-
The short answer? Brand identities, custom Squarespace and Shopify websites, print, packaging, signage and select retail interiors.
The longer answer is that I look at how all of those pieces work together. A website shouldn’t feel disconnected from the brand. The packaging shouldn’t look like it belongs to another business. And if your brand has a physical space, that should feel like part of the same world too.
-
Not necessarily.
Some clients come to me needing everything. Others already have a strong identity and simply need a website that finally does it justice. We’ll look at what you have, where the business is going and what actually needs to change - without adding things to the project simply for the sake of adding them.
-
Yes. I design custom websites on both Squarespace and Shopify.
Squarespace is often a beautiful fit for service-based businesses, portfolios and editorial sites. Shopify is built for e-commerce and businesses that need products, inventory and online sales. I’ll recommend the platform that makes sense for the business you’re building - not whichever one happens to be easiest.
-
No two websites I design look the same - where would the fun be in that?
I may begin within the framework of Squarespace or Shopify, but the strategy, layouts, typography, imagery and details are designed around your business.
The goal is not to squeeze your brand into a predetermined structure - rather the opposite in fact. It’s to create a website that feels like it could only belong to you.
-
Yes please! This is what I love - when I get to touch several points of your business - creating continuity throughout the brand.
Depending on the project, I can carry your brand into website copy, Klaviyo emails, launch materials, media kits, business cards, packaging, signage and other printed pieces. It means fewer people interpreting the brand in completely different ways and a much more cohesive result.
-
Every project is quoted according to its scope because a brand identity, a service-based Squarespace website and a custom Shopify store are three very different projects.
Once I understand what you need, I’ll put together a clear proposal outlining the recommended scope, investment and any optional additions. No mysterious line items. No surprise additions you didn’t know you were paying for.
-
Every project is different. Timing depends on the scope, the number of pieces we’re creating and where you are with content, photography and decision-making when we begin.
Your proposal will include a project-specific timeline, and we’ll establish the schedule before work begins so everyone knows what is happening and when.
-
You complete my brief inquiry form where you tell me about the business, what is changing and what isn’t working anymore.
From there, we’ll have a discovery call to talk through the project and see whether we’re a good fit. If we are, I’ll recommend the right scope and turn everything we discussed into a proposal.
